A motorcyclist was seriously injured at around 9.30pm on Tuesday when he fell off his bike on Triq l-Imġarr in Xewkija.

The police said in a statement the man - a 61-year-old from Żebbuġ - lost control of his Honda CMX.

He was rushed to the Gozo General Hospital.

A magisterial inquiry and police investigations are ongoing.
