Portomaso in St Julians and the clubhouse at Tigné Point, which is due for completion next year, have featured among the top 10 all-night resorts in the world in the UK's leading international property magazine.

This month's edition of Homes Overseas carries an article titled Top 10... 24/7 Developments penned by Sarah Rodrigues who "checks out the top 10 resorts where sleep simply isn't an option".

Malta is the only country that has two properties featured in the list that includes the French Alps, Morocco, Sydney, Costa Del Sol, Marbella in Spain, Las Vegas, Manhattan and Cyprus.

Portomaso, at number eight, is described as a luxurious range of waterfront apartments overlooking a new yacht marina.

"Most of the apartments have uninterrupted water views, allowing owners to enjoy the constant buzz of activity in the marina, without leaving the comfort and tranquillity of their own space," the article reports.

It goes into the resort's on-site facilities and the limitless choice of entertainment for the all-night reveller, as well as the slew of upmarket and boutiques and eateries.

Tigné Point, boasting gorgeous views over the Mediterranean and the island's fortified capital city, came in at sixth place, even though it's not yet completed.

The piece highlights the fact that the resort will be fully pedestrianised and car-free, offering a foreshore clubhouse with a stylish restaurant, health and sporting facilities, major shopping mall and cinema complex.

"Tigné Point will also be the location for an urban centre, with 16,000 square metres of high quality office space, which is ideal for expat business types who need to do the occasional all-nighter," the article said.

Coming in at number one is a five-star 234-hectare golf, tennis and spa resort in Cyprus, named Aphrodite Hills, romantically named after the place where the legendary Aphrodite is said to have risen from the waves.
