Two party leaders face off in front of an audience of Malta's business leaders
Robert Abela and Alex Borg met again on Monday morning as the two party leaders debated one another at the Malta Chamber of Commerce, Enterprise and Industry.
It was the fourth such debate of the 2026 general election campaign, following similar debates held at the University of Malta, Malta Chamber of SMEs and on TVM show Xtra.
The debate was moderated by Malta Chamber head of communications and media strategy Rachel Bondi Attard. Abela and Borg debated in front of an audience of business leaders and Malta Chamber members.

With less than a week to go before the May 30 voting day, polls suggest Labour are ahead of the Nationalist Party and on the cusp of a record fourth consecutive electoral victory.
Abela has pitched his Labour party as the credible choice and a vote for continued economic success; Borg has presented the Nationalist Party as a vote for change and an opportunity to take the country to the next level.
