The Talking Point titled ‘Civil right to objectify women’ (July 27) merits due attention and, of course, a compliment to the author, Kevin Aquilina.
He deserves our gratitude for giving us such a clever definition of the proposed law and its potential consequences.
His contribution is not only a very intellectual piece but also a declaration of his moral principles, which I humbly share.
There are many people, in different spheres, who must feel the responsibility to do what Aquilina did. He acted immediately and was a leading light on this subject. He understood that it is important for us to know. We must thank him very much for his very intelligent analysis of what is being proposed through Bill No. 113.
Let us hope that those with different responsibilities, to whom we look for advice and guidance, will not procrastinate and will give the subject their attention.
