No cars allowed: 40,000 pitbull fans offered €15 shuttle bus

Fans will not be allowed to park their cars near the Ta'Qali venue

The thousands of Pitbull fans planning to watch the rapper in concert next month will not be allowed to park their cars near the Ta'Qali venue, with organisers providing a €15 shuttle bus instead.

More than 40,000 fans are expected to attend the concert on August 2 at the Ta'Qali National Park, and organisers Greatt have announced an official shuttle service provided by Quadron Plus for all attendees to reduce traffic and ensure the most convenient ways to travel to and from the venue.

Given the scale of the event, the organisers have confirmed that, together with relevant authorities, a strict traffic management plan will be in force around the area on the day.

No private cars will have access to the event vicinity, while taxi and 'Y-Plate' drop-off points are a 20-minute walk from the main entrance.

A round trip will cost fans €15, and organisers say the shuttle will pass through an exclusive route, ensuring a closer drop-off point near the entrance.

The shuttle service will operate from eight locations:

The shuttle buses will depart from the pick-up points before the event at 5.00pm and the return services will leave after the event at midnight.

Organisers urge fans to be at the pick-up points 10 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Seating cannot be reserved in advance.

"With over 40,000 people expected, this is by far the easiest and most efficient way to get to the event. After Ed Sheeran’s successful Shuttle Service, this service has been specifically designed to minimise travel time, avoid traffic restrictions and provide passengers with direct access much closer to the venue than any other transport option," organisers said.
