The swimming ban at Tigné's pet friendly beach in Sliema has been lifted, the health authorities said.

The Environmental Health Directorate said in a statement that following the sampling of seawater from the site , it is now fit for bathing.

When the authorities had announced the closure of the beach some days ago, they said they were looking into determining the source of contamination.
