The top stories in Malta's newspapers

The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Monday.

All the newspapers feature the double tragedy in Ġnejna Bay where a small dinghy was struck by a bigger boat at night.

In other stories, Times of Malta reports that a dairy farm tried, 35 years ago, to stop the construction of Lourdes Fireworks Factory, which blew up last month.

The Malta Independent says the man accused of shooting two policemen in St Julian's on Friday pleaded not guilty on arraignment.

The tragedy and the arraignment feature on l-orizzont, along with a commitment by Robert Abela for the government to strengthen the power grid.

In-Nazzjon also leads with the arraignment and the Gnejna tragedy.
