The following are the top stories in Malta's newspapers on Tuesday.
Times of Malta leads with news that the environment watchdog found serious breaches at the Marsa scrapyard four months after it was engulfed in a massive fire in 2021, but still renewed its environment permit a year later.
The newspaper also reports on a cleaning company accusing KM Malta Airlines of favouring a rival firm linked to the airline’s executive chairman, David Curmi.
The Malta Independent leads with a report from the Gozo Tourism Association, which found that almost half of businesses on the island experienced a better summer than last year.
