Artificial intelligence is in the news every day. We hear how it is misleading us with deepfakes, will replace us in the workplace, or even wipe out the human race.

For British artist and researcher James Bridle, while the advances and risks are usually exaggerated, our obsession with AI could allow us to recognise the many forms of non-human intelligence.
