Woman, 65, grievously injured after being hit by motorcycle

The incident took place at around 11.30am in Mosta

A 65-year-old woman from Żebbuġ was grievously injured on Sunday after being hit by a motorbike in Mosta. 

The incident took place at around 11.30am on Vjal l'Indipendenza, when she was hit by a Honda motorcyle driven by a 33-year-old man from San Ġwann. 

The woman was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital, where her injuries were certified as grievous.

Police investigations are ongoing. 

The Mosta accident was the first of two yesterday; that afternoon, a 27-year-old man was grievously injured after being involved in a collision with a car.
