A shooting incident at a Czech aircraft factory left three men dead yesterday, including the lone gunman, whose motives remained unclear in the immediate aftermath, police said.

Local media said the gunman opened fire at the Aircraft Industries’ company headquarters at Kuonovice in the southeast of the country, and they suggested an injured woman might be the chief executive officer, Ilona Plskova. They also said the dead gunman could be the brother of a former Aircraft Industries board member and arms dealer, Pavel Musela.“I’ve learnt there are three dead and one of the dead men is the gunman,” regional police spokeswoman Jana Bartikova said, adding the gunman had committed suicide. Regional emergency services spokesman Petr Olsan told Czech Television that the woman had been treated with a light injury.
