A 74-year-old man has died at Mater Dei Hospital, five days after having been diagnosed with COVID-19, the Health Ministry said.

The ministry expressed its condolences.

The man becomes the 104th victim of the virus in Malta.

Earlier on Wednesday, the Health Ministry said 173 new COVID-19 cases were detected in the past 24 hours.
