A group of around 10 Libyan freedom fighter sympathisers this morning entered into the Libyan embassy and demanded the removal of 10 people who worked there, eight of them diplomats.
They claimed these 10 people were sympathisers of the Gaddafi regime and had no place in their embassy.
Upon coming out of the embassy, the Libyans, who were making the victory sign, said the ambassador had promised them that action would be taken.
They, however, complained that while inside they could see posters and flags of Gaddafi in a number of drawers as well as copies of the Green Book.
They claimed to have burned this paraphernalia.
One of them said that Malta's Karmenu Mifsud Bonnici should follow Gaddafi in hell.
An embassy spokesman said the ambassador was not making any statements about the situation.
