Minister for the Elderly Michael Farrugia has been hospitalised, the government said in a brief statement on Tuesday.

It said the minister was admitted to Mater Dei following tests earlier on Tuesday and is currently being held under observation.

The minister himself also posted the news on his Facebook page.

Farrugia is currently in isolation having tested positive for COVID-19 on Sunday.
