Bajd u Bejken hosts, Terry ta’ Bormla won't mention each other on media
Criminal proceedings declared extinguished by court
Two Bajd u Bejken hosts and Terry Muscat agreed in court on Monday that they will refrain from mentioning each other on social and traditional media.
Criminal proceedings were declared extinguished by the court after Max Vassallo, Paul Joe Xerxen and Muscat - known as Terry ta’ Bormla - obliged themselves to stop mentioning each other.
Muscat informed the court she was no longer interested in criminal action.
The case against the two hosts was set to start on Monday morning concerning a “joke”. The incident is not related to the live show, on which no charges were issued.
Muscat's lawyer began the sitting by requesting an apology from the show hosts. They declined to provide one but agreed to refrain from mentioning Muscat in their podcast Bajd u Bejken and on any media, including social media.
Muscat also declared she would not mention the podcast or refer to the accused or their families in the media, including social media.
She also informed the court that she was satisfied with the decision taken by the accused and renounced the criminal complaint.
The court then declared the proceedings extinguished.
Magistrate Nadia Helena Vella presided.
Police inspector Chantelle Mifsud prosecuted.
Lawyers Zack Esmail and Kayleigh Borg appeared for the accused.
Lawyer Carm Mifsud Bonnici assisted Muscat.
