Eden Leisure Foundation pop-up thrift store raises over €5,000 for local NGOs
Annual event supporting environmental and social initiatives
The Eden Leisure Foundation successfully hosted the fourth edition of its Annual Pop-Up Thrift Store on May 23 at the InterContinental Malta, bringing together hundreds of shoppers in support of sustainability and local charitable causes.
The event welcomed a diverse crowd throughout the day, including families, teens, children, and young adults, all coming together to shop sustainably while supporting the community. Visitors browsed a wide selection of new designers and pre-loved fashion items, accessories, shoes, and unique finds, giving clothing a second life while contributing to meaningful causes.
This year’s edition raised over €5,000, with all proceeds going directly to three participating NGOs: Inspire, MSPCA, and EmpowerHER.
Adding to the vibrant atmosphere was DJ Xplora, who entertained attendees with live music at the event, creating an energetic and welcoming shopping experience for visitors of all ages.
Speaking about the initiative, the Eden Leisure Foundation chairperson, Kate de Cesare, highlighted the importance of creating events that combine environmental responsibility with community impact.
“Seeing people come together for a cause like this is incredibly rewarding. The success of our thrift events shows that sustainability and community support can go hand in hand, and we are grateful to everyone who contributed to making the day such a positive and impactful experience.”
The Foundation also collected 183 kilos of second-hand clothes from employees, friends and families, for these organisations to resell.
The Annual Pop-Up Thrift Store forms part of the Eden Leisure Foundation’s ongoing commitment to supporting environmental and social initiatives within the Maltese community.
