Works are still well underway at Grand Harbour and Gozo's Mġarr harbour on the terminal buildings to handle the fast ferry services, with less than a week before crossings are due to start.

Transport Minister Ian Borg visited the site in Mġarr on Tuesday morning with Gozo minister Clint Camilleri.

Gozo Fast Ferry announced some of its fares and schedule on Tuesday. Rival operators Virtu Ferries have already announced theirs. 

At Valletta's Grand Harbour, the ferries will operate from Ta' Liesse.

€2.5 million have been invested to build the new terminals.

The two new ferry landing sites will have ticketing booths, a marshalling zone, as well as sheltered waiting areas and public toilets for passengers. Emergency equipment to ensure passengers’ safety will also be installed.

The fast ferry service will be taking passengers from Mġarr, Gozo to Valletta in less than 45 minutes. So far there are two confirmed operators that will offer this service. These are Gozo Fast Ferry and Virtu Ferries Fast Ferry.
