Junior College collective agreement signed

It improves working conditions and pay for academic staff

The University and the Malta Union of Teachers have signed a new collective agreement for academics at the Junior College.

The deal was announced earlier this month, bringing an end to protracted talks and industrial action.

The package was approved by the academic staff last week.

The agreement was signed by MUT president Marco Bonnici, outgoing University Rector  Alfred Vella, and the president of the University Council Karmenu Vella.

The agreement provides improved conditions of work and pay.
