These are the music superstars coming to Malta this summer
International artists including Michael Bublé, Lionel Richie and Pitbull are coming to a stage near you
In the coming weeks, Malta will host a packed programme of concerts and festivals, as organisers prepare for what they say could be the island’s biggest summer for international headliners.
The line-up (see below) spans genres, from award-winning artists and rock bands to 1980s legends, leaving music fans spoilt for choice.
“2026 is looking like it is going to be one of the biggest summers in Malta in terms of festivals and international artists performing on our island,” Owen Spiteri, G7 Events director, told Times of Malta.
According to Spiteri, the increase in the tourism industry has helped and encouraged other organisers in the entertainment industry to invest further in international line-ups with top global artists.
“The entertainment industry has grown drastically after COVID-19. Another important factor, I believe, is that Malta still offers a very good value for money when it comes to the type of entertainment when one compares it to other Mediterranean hot spots like Ibiza, Mykonos and the French Riviera.”
According to the CEO of Greatt, an entertainment and event company, the summer is a clear demonstration of what the islands can achieve in the entertainment sector.
“Never before has Malta welcomed such a volume of international artists, nor artists of the calibre we are seeing this season,” Mark Grech said.
“Beyond the artists themselves, this season proves that Malta has the ability not only to attract the best of international talent, but also to deliver the standards and experience expected of such events on this scale. It sends a strong message that our country is increasingly establishing itself as a credible and attractive destination for world-class entertainment.”
He added that the list of headliners demonstrates that Malta can confidently compete with larger destinations and continues to attract some of the biggest names in the industry, benefiting both the local entertainment sector and the wider economy.
Festivals Malta provides funding to support the development and delivery of high-quality and large-scale events in Malta through its Large Scale Events Support Scheme (LSESS). The scheme offers grants up to €2 million per project for events featuring internationally recognised headliners.
