Two accused over Zejtun incidents

Edwin Bartolo, 58 of Zejtun known as Il-Qahbu and Salvatore Mifsud, 32, of Zabbar, were this morning granted bail after they pleaded not guilty to having slightly injuring Grazzio Bondin and assaulted Joseph Brownrigg in a fight near a polling station in Zejtun yesterday afternoon.
Bartolo on his own was also charged with verbally threatening Mr Brownrigg while Mr Mifsud was accused of violently pushing Mr Bondin. Both pleaded not guilty.
Magistrate Michael Mallia granted the accused bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000.
