The end of the Swedish EU presidency was recently marked by an ecumenical ceremony and a St Lucia procession in Mtarfa parish church, dedicated to the Sicilian Catholic saint. The event was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Tonio Borg, Apostolic Nuncio Tommaso Caputo, EU ambassadors, Consul-General of Sweden Karl Gollcher, representatives of the government and the opposition, Maltese civil society and the Mtarfa community.
