Vittoriosa Stars have signed Brazilian midfielder Carlos Emanue Campagnoli, aka Carlinos, the BOV Premier League side announced yesterday.

The 22-year-old spent much of his career in Brazil and in 2009 was on the books of Paranense.

Carlinos is Vittoriosa’s third signing of the summer after they have also secured deals for Dino Cachia and young goalkeeper Jean Matthias Vella.

Cachia has a lot of experience in the Premier League as he spent the last few years with Msida St Joseph before moving to Dingli Swallows in season 2009-10.

Meanwhile, Vittoriosa have also confirmed coach Winston Muscat for another season.

The former St Patrick coach, who last season guided the Cottonera side to the top flight, will be assisted by Darren Abdilla. Matthew Pearson will be the club’s physical trainer while Alex Camilleri is the goalkeepers’ coach.
