A man thought to be a foreigner was found dead in a dinghy in St Thomas Bay this afternoon.

The grim discovery was made at about 6 p.m.

The man, in his mid-40s, had no external signs of violence and an autopsy will be carried out to establish the cause of death.

He is thought to have been a crew member on a yacht anchored off shore.

The police are investigating.
