Former One news journalist Miriam Dalli has been engaged as a consultant with the Ministry of Energy and Water Conservation, the ministry has confirmed.
Ms Dalli, who still presents a discussion programme on One, is a Labour candidate for next year’s elections to the European Parliament, has a salary of €33,583 and allowances totalling almost €9,000. They include expenses for a car, an expertise allowance and internet.
She will be working mostly on communications and corporate social responsibility.
"Ms. Dalli renders her services in the areas of Communications, CSR and stakeholder management. Her areas of expertise are primarily communications, corporate social responsibility and sustainability together with stakeholder management based on her past experience in the topics within the private sector.Her appointment is in line with the policy utilised in engaging advisers within a Ministry," the Energy Ministry said.
