FZL proposes reopening of agreement with Church on teaching of religion

The Forum Żgħażagħ Laburisti has submitted four proposals for debate in national fora with the aim of identifying difficulties and eventually find solutions.

The proposals are for the reopening of the 1989 Church State agreement on the teaching of religion in state schools, the removal of the propriety certificate for teachers of religion, the government’s power to decide the amount of lessons on the different subjects in its own schools and the introduction of ethics in state schools.

The proposals were made during a workshop held as part of the PL’s general conference.
