The European Institute of Education (EIE) has donated management text books to Malta Enterprise (ME) as part of a campaign, 'Knowledge for all', which EIE started three years ago.
The books will be placed in the Malta Enterprise staff library for use by management and staff. To date, EIE has donated more than €25,000 worth of textbooks to various local organisations.
During a recent visit to ME's premises in San Gwann, EIE president Antonello Cappitta met ME chief officer corporate services David Galea Souchet, HR learning and development manager Mark A. Pizzuto and human resources manager Mary Rose Bonnici.
Mr Pizzuto commented: "ME promotes the importance of continuous professional development among its staff and this donation helps us to further increase the diverse number of books on marketing and management-related issues in our in-house library."
Mr Cappitta said: "EIE is an international institute of higher education which operates educational campuses in four European countries, including Malta.
"The assistance that Malta Enterprise and their dedicated staff gave us in recent years was instrumental for this internationalisation exercise to happen. EIE is licensed by the Ministry of Education, Youth and Employment as a tertiary higher education teaching institute representing various foreign established universities, including the University of Leicester and IUKB of Switzerland.
EIE operates state-of-the-art campuses in the UK, the Czech Republic and Georgia. For more information call 2133 2804/5 e-mail: info@eieonline.com or visit www.eieonline.com
