Aaron Farrugia, the Labour Party’s education secretary has been chosen as one of 13 economic experts who would be drawing up a strategy and policy in response to the global economic crisis for the Young European Socialists (Ecosy).

The experts will be meeting the three Ecosy vice-presidents in Brussels to establish their working criteria and discuss the situation with other experts in EU and European socialists' institutions.

Mr Farrugia is a graduate in financial services and European affairs.
