Jeffrey Pullicino Orlando has accused the president of the PN Executive, Marthese Portelli, of 'doublespeak'.
The Nationalist MP earlier this week complained that his letter to the Executive calling for the dismissal of Richard Cachia Caruana from the PN would not be discussed at the next meeting of the Executive later this month.
However Dr Portelli denied the claim, saying the item would be included with the correspondence sent to her.
Dr Pullicino Orlando said he had exchanged correspondence with Dr Portelli where he told her he required guidance from her as to the procedure to be adopted since he had to prepare his presentation and call witnesses.
The Executive president had not replied since last Thursday.
Dr Pullicino Orlando said he was amply clear to him that the the issue would not be discussed in the forthcoming meeting but his letter would be merely read out as part of the correspondence.
"I am not, in any way, denying that Dr. Portelli has every right to chart the best way forward in any way she deems fit but engaging in 'doublespeak' is incorrect," Dr Pullicino Orlando said.
