Finance Minister Edward Scicluna has claimed no one watched his address to a European Parliament committee last month where he referred to the citizenship scheme, and his words were “twisted”, but he admitted the marketing of the citizenship scheme had been “crude”.

The video clip of his December 5 presentation in front of the Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee had gone viral online.

Prof Scicluna yesterday replied to questions of how the scheme is still different from suggestions he had made.
