Yes! Your subscription allows you to view an unlimited number of articles on multiple devices as long as you are logged into your account.

Is my subscription automatically renewed?
Once you purchase our 3-month subscription, your subscription will automatically renew to €9.99/month thereafter unless you cancel your subscription.

Will my subscription work on both the app and website?
Yes, your subscription will work on both the app and website. Once you subscribe, you can access your content seamlessly across both platforms using the same account. Just make sure you are logged into your account.

Why can't I access my premium subscription after subscribing?
If you've recently subscribed but still can't access premium content, you may need to log out and log back in for the subscription to sync with your account. This refreshes your access and should resolve the issue. If you continue to experience problems, please contact our support team for assistance.

Can I share a subscriber-only article with friends?
You can share any Times of Malta article. If the person you are sharing it with is not a premium user, they will only be able to view the article if they have not reached their free article limit.

How much is the subscription?

I want to subscribe but I am being told I already have an account. What should I do?
Please try logging in to your account. If you forgot your password, click 'forgot password' and follow the instructions. Once you have logged into your account, check whether you have a valid subscription.

Can I cancel my subscription and resubscribe with the three-month discount?
The three-month Welcome Offer is only available to new users. If you cancel your subscription and choose to sign up again, you will be billed €9.99/month.

I bought my Premium Subscription through the app store on my phone. How do I cancel my subscription?
If you purchased your Premium Times of Malta Subscription via Play Store or App Store, you'll need to cancel your subscription via your Play Store/App Store.

Is the Welcome discount available to only new subscribers?
Yes, we only offer our 3 month discount to first-time subscribers.

What payment methods are accepted?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Paypal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Can I change my card details mid-way through my subscription?
Yes, you can. You can update your payment details by logging in and accessing your account page on our website, or by clicking your profile icon within our app. If you encounter any issues, kindly contact our support team.

Can I change/cancel my subscription?
Yes. You can cancel your subscription in two ways: If you are on the website, log in and access your account details from the settings page. If you're on the app, tap your profile icon then go to your subscription settings.

Do I get a refund when cancelling my subscription?
When you cancel your subscription, you will continue to benefit from Premium benefits until the end of your billing period. The subscription will then end once that billing period is over.

I’m a subscriber, but I’m still hitting the paywall. What do I do?
First, make sure you are logged into your account. Once you log into your account, you will be able to access unlimited articles. If you are still encountering issues after this, please send an email to support.

Is the app free to download and use?
Yes, the Times of Malta app is free to download on iOS and Android. You can read 20 free articles both on our website and app. After your allotted 20 free articles, you will need to purchase a monthly or yearly subscription.

Can I turn on/off push notifications from the Times of Malta app?
Yes! Click your profile icon on the top right hand corner of the app. Scroll down to notifications, tap notifications and toggle accordingly.

How do I save an article to read later on the Times of Malta app?
Click on the article you would like to save. In the top right-hand corner you will see a bookmark icon. Tap on the bookmark icon and the article will be saved
To view your saved articles, click on the 'Saved' bookmark icon in the footer of the app. All your saved articles will be there.
To remove an article from your saved folder, just click on the article you would like to remove, and click the bookmark icon again to toggle it off.

Can I use dark mode on the Times of Malta app?
Yes! Tap your profile icon on the top right hand corner of the app. Scroll down to 'System, Light, Dark' and choose 'Dark'.

Can I get more/fewer push notifications?
No, you cannot. All push notifications are carefully created by our editorial team. However, we are always looking for ways to improve our app experience, so please email support@timesofmalta.com so we can pass on this feedback.

Can I increase/decrease font size on the app?
Yes! Click your profile icon on the top right hand corner of the app. Under settings, you will see a font toggle. Drag the bar to your preferred font.

Can I download the app on my iPad/Tablet?
Yes you can. Visit your Play store or App Store, type in 'Times of Malta' into the search bar and install our app.

Do I need to update the software on my device for the app to work?
Yes, please make sure that your device is updated to its latest version and you have no updates pending. These are the list of supported versions we accept:
- iOS: iOS 17, iOS 16, iOS 15
- Android: Android 14, Android 13, Android 12, Android 11, Android 10, Android 9 (Pie), Android 8 (Oreo).

I’m experiencing issues with the app? Who can I speak to?
If you are experiencing issues with the app, please make sure your app is updated by visiting your Play Store or App Store first. You can also try restarting the app or your device. If you are still experiencing issues after doing this, kindly contact our support team.

I would like to view an old version of the newspaper but it is not appearing in the app.
Our app allows you to view the 14 most recent e-paper editions. If you are looking for an edition that is older than that, you can browse our full archive on the desktop or mobile browser versions of our website.

How many articles are free for me?
You can read 20 free articles both on our website and app. After your allotted 20 free articles, you will need to purchase a monthly or yearly subscription.

Why can't I sign in with my Facebook or Google account?
If you have already signed up and created an account with Times of Malta, you need to link your Facebook and Google profile via your account settings. When accessing Times of Malta on web, click on your profile name top right hand corner of the site. Click 'Manage Account' Under 'Accounts', click on the 'Profile' tab in the menu and scroll down till you reach the 'Social Accounts' section. From here, you can connect your Apple, Facebook and Google accounts.

How do I activate my subscription benefits?
You don’t have to do anything – once you subscribe, your account is automatically upgraded.

How do I access the archive?
You can access our archive of newspaper editions dating back to 1935 by browsing to our archive page. The archive is only available when accessing our website through a browser, not the app.

How do I listen to articles?
If an article has an audio readout available, it will have a headphone icon right before the article text begins. You can click the icon for the article readout to begin. Readouts are only available on our mobile app.

How do I meet the editors?
Editors will hold online meetings with all subscribers once a month. Each session will last roughly one hour. Subscribers will automatically receive a calendar invitation to each session, on the email address they used when subscribing. The email will include a link to join the online meeting.

How do I access my e-paper?
The e-paper is a digital version of our daily print edition and is published every morning. If you are accessing our website on a browser, you can access the e-paper by going to our e-paper section. If you are on our mobile app, just click the e-paper section on the bottom menu of the app.

How do I access puzzles?
If you are accessing our website on a browser, you can play our daily puzzles by visiting our Games section. If you are on our mobile app, just click the Puzzles section on the bottom menu of the app.

How do I get access to Times of Malta events?
You don’t have to do anything. You will automatically receive an email invitation to events when they occur.

How do I create an account?
On the website, click 'Log in' on the top right-hand corner, and under the black log-in button, please click 'Sign up', fill in your details and click continue. If you are on the app, click on your profile icon on the top right-hand corner, tap sign in, and tap 'I don't have an account' under the blue Login button. You will then be directed to a page where you'll need to fill in your details.

I forgot my password. How can I reset it?
To reset your password, click ‘Forgot Password’ on the login screen, and we’ll email you a password reset link. If you do not receive this email, please check your spam folder.

Can I update my email address or other account details [billing etc.]?
Please visit our website, sign in, and go to your account settings.

How do I sign out of my account on the app?
Tap your profile icon top right-hand corner and click Sign out.

How do I sign out of my account on the website?
Tap on your name from the navigation bar, and select sign out from the drop-down menu.

Can I manage my newsletter preferences?
Yes you can. Click on your profile in the top right hand corner, click settings and click ‘Manage Newsletters’. From there you can toggle your preferences.

Why do I need to accept cookies?
Due to GDPR regulations, we need to inform you about our website cookies to consent to utilising your information. GDPR has strict requirements for what counts as consent, requiring a “clear affirmative act” that users are opting in to having their data collected.
