Ira Losco's album, Fortune Teller, will be launched this weekend during what the promoters are describing as one of the season's most popular events.
The launch will take place at Sky Club on Saturday.
Already the best selling artist for three consecutive years, Ira Losco has released two number one albums, a string of chart-topping singles and won every conceivable award from Image Icon to Best Artist and Best Album, a spokesman for the singer said.
Over the years she has developed into an artist with phenomenal sex appeal, a powerful and distinct voice and one of her greatest assets, her energetic live performances playing both piano and guitar, the spokesman added. "Undoubtedly, though, her unique selling point is her magnetic charisma which gives her 'star' quality. Such prowess has taken her to perform across Europe and as far away as Australia in front of audiences topping 80,000."
Ira Losco has played main support to such well renowned international stars as Elton John, Katie Melua, Maroon 5, Akon Mel C, Ronan Keating, Bob Geldof, Tokyo Hotel and Gigi D'Alessio, among others.
Her songs have been covered by a number of artistes, namely Michelle Hunzinger and, more recently, Kelly Clarkson who re- adapted one of her songs, Uh-oh! Fortune Teller, the singer's third album, manifests a more mature Ira Losco with adamant views about anything and everything and a raspy leathery tone to her voice belting out lyrical content with some hefty weight, the spokesman said.
In typical fashion, electric guitars and some very punchy synths are prominent in Fortune Teller, with energy levels that are sky high.
The album was written with unabashed live performances in mind and is danceable and pumping. However, the occasional soothing acoustic track draws one deeper into the many facets which embody Ira Losco. Shoulders Of Giants has a subtle greatness to it, which contrasts with the bold sound of Elvis Can You Hear Me?
The main sponsors for the concert are McDonalds, Coca Cola, Vodafone and Guess. Cisk Export, Radisson SAS, Chemimart, Sky Vodka, Stella Artois, str82dpoint, The Code, What's Up Malta and Melita Digital also gave a helping hand. Doors open at 10 p.m., with Ira Losco taking to the stage at about 11 p.m. for a one-and-a-half-hour long performance.
DJs backing her up on the night include Wayne Flask, Wes, Steevy Vee, Ruby and Toby.
Tickets are on sale at €10 for the main arena and €20 for the VIP area and are available from Guess, Chemimart, Vodafone and McDonalds outlets.
