I would like to thank the Mepa chairman for finally listening to his conscience and to the howls of protests from concerned citizens by ordering a stop notice to the now notorious works being carried out in Baħrija.

Since the developer should never have applied and argued for a development permit in an outside development zone and Mepa should never have granted it, then clearly errors of judgment were made by both parties.

The only honourable solution now is to have the area reinstated to its former glory as soon as possible.
