45 people found to be living in Malta irregularly to be repatriated

They were detained during spot checks in Ħamrun, Qawra, Santa Venera, St Paul's Bay

A group of 45 people found to be living in Malta irregularly during spot checks in Ħamrun, Qawra, Santa Venera and St Paul's Bay will be repatriated or returned to a country where they have permission to reside.

The police said in a statement the people were detained during inspections by detention services, Identita and Jobsplus officials at places of work and public spaces.
