George Mario Attard took this picture of a waterspout off Qbajjar in Gozo today. A violent hailstorm drifted over the island at about 1.30 p.m., pelting the island with large hail stones.

Rescuers were called to remove a tree which fell across a road in Victoria and there was flooding in some streets, but no one was injured.
