Obituaries 

GRECH. On July 5, at Mater Dei Hospital, CARMELINA, of St Julian’s, aged 92, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. Loved and fondly remembered by her husband Tony, her children Edith and her husband Gilbert, Phyllis and her partner Don and Keith, her grandchildren Chris, Kenny, Autumn, Kandra, Fabian, great-grandchildren Ardaya and Brooklyn, her sister-in-law Carmen, all other relatives and friends in Malta and Canada. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow, Tuesday, July 9 at 8.30am for the St Julian’s parish church, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9am, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery, Paola. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

JACCARINI. On July 6, RITA, née Cassar of Sliema, aged 92, widow of Joe, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her brother Louis, her sisters Maria and her husband Michael, Monica and her husband John, other relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will be said at St Gregory’s parish church, Sliema, on Wednesday, July 10 at 8.45am followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest. The family wishes to thank the staff and carers at The Imperial Residential Home for their dedicated care.

PISANI BONAVIA. On July 6, ALFRED passed away peacefully comforted by the rights of Holy Church. He will always be missed and cherished by his wife Maria and brother Maurice, numerous relatives and friends. Mass præsente cadavere will take place on Tuesday, July 9 at 8:30am at Our Lady of Lourdes parish church, San Gwann. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

RIPARD. On July 6, LILIANA, née Sansone, aged 86, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church at home surrounded by her family. She will always be loved and cherished by her loving husband Peter Paul, her children and their spouses Phyllis and Mark, Angelica and Patrick, Peter and Greta, her grandchildren Mark, Stephy and her husband Steve, Emma and her husband Rudy, Michael and his wife Stephanie, Julia and Louisa as well as her great grandchildren Mia, Sebastian, Zoe and Lucia. She will also be mourned by her sister Maria Mifsud and brother Louis Sansone, their spouses, her aunt Lilian Camilleri, other in-laws, cousins, nephews, nieces and friends as well as her dedicated carer Maribel. The funeral cortège will leave Mater Dei Hospital on Wednesday, July 10 at 8.45am for Jesus of Nazareth parish church, Sliema, where Mass præsente cadavere will be said at 9.30am followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery. Donations to Hospice Malta would be appreciated. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
