Customs seize 250kg of cocaine at the freeport

Customs officers have seized 250kg of cocaine found in a container at Malta Freeport.

The container originated in Guayaquil, Ecuador and was on transhipment to  Piraeus, Greece.

The drugs were found during an inspection and scanning of the container.

The police are investigating.
