Almost four weeks of thrilling football are coming to an end – and on Sunday, December 18, the winner of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 will lift the trophy and earn legendary status.

But there won’t be just one winner in Qatar. In these past weeks, other teams have kept spectators – and those watching from home and enjoying a spot of sports betting on 1x2vedot.com – glued to their seat with their determination, skills and strength.

Let’s start with the goals – and we’ve enjoyed some spectacular ones. One of the more beautiful and technically accomplished is that scored by Brazil’s Richarlison against Serbia. Brazil eventually crashed out of the World Cup after losing to Croatia – but in the matches they played, they showcased some beautiful moves. And Richarlison’s – a spectacular goal scored with a scissor kick – will be remembered as one of the highlights of Brazil’s performance. Indeed, when they were in the mood, Brazil gave us some thrilling moments – one of the best, perhaps, was the first 30 minutes of their clash against South Korea. Those few minutes were a showcase of what Brazil are capable of – sharp movement, quick attacking play and magical touches that burst with flair and samba.

Saudi Arabia’s winning goal against Argentina was also worth writing home about. Not only did it surprise everyone – but Salem Al-Dawsari’s scorcher was also a beauty, with the player – surrounded by four Argentinean players – unleashing a scorcher that blasted the back of the net.

And how about Takuma Asano’s winner against Germany? Japan were trailing to Germany one-nil – but following an equaliser, Asano scored the winner by beating master German goaler Manuel Neuer with a strong shot from the tightest of angles.

French superstar Kylian Mbappe was simply on fire in the round of 16 match against Poland. He showed an impressive change of pace – and his second goal was of a rare and elegant beauty. Having passed the ball to his teammate Marcus Thuram, Mbappe made his way to Poland’s box – then, when he received the ball back, he unleashed a shot that was a masterpiece in strength and precision.

Few football spectators were familiar with Wout Weghorst – but that was until the Dutch played Argentina. True, the Netherlands lost out on penalties against the South American giants. However, Weghorst had brought his team to the edge of a dream by scoring an equaliser in the 11th minute of injury time. Simply incredible.

And last – but definitely not least – the Moroccan team, who have already made history by becoming the first African nation to reach the semi-finals of a World Cup. Their journey, so far, has been incredible. They topped a group that featured the more accomplished teams of Croatia and Belgium. And then they went on to display great defensive strength – and attacking agility – to knock out Spain in the round of 16 and Portugal in the quarter-finals.

The final of the World Cup is just days away – but on the road there, expect some more thrilling action.
