A foreign man died this afternoon when his motorcycle was involved in a crash in Birzebbuga.

The incident happened at about 5.15 p.m. in Triq Birzebbuga, close to the parish church.

The man, a 34-year-old from the former Yugoslavia who lives at Qajjenza, appears to have lost control of the motorcycle. He crashed into a street corner and then into a parked car.

He died on the spot, with his distraught wife being among the first on the scene.
