Works to repair a main pipe in Swieqi created a water 'fountain' on Thursday morning.

The Water Services Corporation said the water gushed out as the mains were cut for the repairs. The repairs, which were previously planned, are due to be completed by this evening.

Extensive road works are currently in hand in Swieqi and Pembroke aimed at improving traffic flow.
