Over 80 students from St Monica School in Gzira are currently involved in the rehearsals for this year’s edition of the prize day. For this year, St Monica school will be performing Disney's The Little Mermaid.
In a magical kingdom beneath the sea, the little mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home to live in the world above. This is a story about a mermaid who dreams all the time of the world above the sea and gives up her voice, the most precious thing she has, to find love.
The musical's underwater setting requires special technical design and props, besides the colourful costumes of all the aquatic creatures, all of which are created by those engaged in this year’s edition.
One of the five performances will be open for the public on Saturday, April 30 at 6.30pm. Tickets form school during school hours, adults €7, children (up to 12 years of age) €5. One can also book tickets on 2134 0127 and 7934 0127.
