AGIUS. On January 23, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, CARMEN (Nena), aged 86, of Sliema, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sisters Stella, widow of John B. Attard, Connie Cachia of Australia, Ġuża, widow of Żaren Barbara and Rita and her husband Joseph Zammit, her sister-in-law Stella Agius widow of Joseph, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said today at 2.30 p.m. at St Gregory parish church, Sliema, followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. The family would like to thank all the staff at Female Ward 7/8, St Francis Wing, St Vincent de Paul, for their care and dedication. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

BARBARA – CHARLES, brother of ex-President Agatha Barbara, three weeks short of his 90th birthday, ex-shipwright at Malta Drydocks, died peacefully in Queanbeyan, Australia. He leaves to mourn his loss his family in Australia, England and Malta. He will be greatly missed especially by his sister Joan.

GERADA. On January 21, Monsignor EMANUEL GERADA, Titular Archbishop of Nomentum , former Apostolic Nuncio, aged 90, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his brother Dr Anthony Gerada, Antonia, widow of his brother Alfons, Bernadette, widow of his brother Joseph, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends. He is laying in state at the oratory of St Catherine’s parish church, Zejtun, today from 7.30 to 10 a.m. Then, he will be moved to St John’s Co-Cathedral, Valletta, from 11 a.m. to 2.30 p.m.. The funeral Mass will be celebrated by Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. at St John’s Co-Cathedral today at 3 p.m. The funeral will continue privately at St Gregory Cemetery, Żejtun. The family regret they are unable to receive visitors. No flowers by request, but donations to Dar Nazzaret, Żejtun, will be appreciated. May God grant him eternal rest.

GROGAN. On January 23, at Mater Dei Hospital, MARTINA, sive Tanya née Dalli, aged 47, passed away suddenly surrounded by her family. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved husband Joseph, her precious sons Joshua and Ishmael, her mother Teresa, her sisters Yvonne, Rosemarie and Mariella, her brother Reno and their spouses, nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for Fgura parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family’s grave at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the Ursuline Sisters of St Angela, Sliema, will be appreciated. God, grant her eternal rest.

MAMO. On January 24, at St Vincent de Paul Residence, INES, widow of Francis, aged 80, of Sta Luċija, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her sons Carl, Anthony and his wife Marianne, Edward and his wife Amanda and Pierre, her grandchildren, other relatives and friends. Mass praesente cadavere will be said tomorrow at 8.30 a.m at Sta Luċija parish church followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. Lord, grant her eternal rest.

PETROCOCHINO. On January 24, at Mater Dei Hospital, MAURICE L., passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, aged 87. He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife Liliana, née Busuttil, his daughters Natalie and her husband Christopher Busuttil Leaver, Rosanne, his sons Maurice and his wife Romaine, Albert and his wife Rita, his adored grandchildren Luke and Nicky, Bianca, Karl and Maria, nephews and nieces, relatives and friends. Special thanks to Rita Galea. Funeral arrangements will be announced later. Lord, grant him eternal rest.

PULIS. On Sunday January 23, at St James Capua Hospital, Sliema, ROSA, née Giordano, comforted by the rites of Holy Church, went to meet the Risen Lord and to rejoin her beloved husband Joseph. She leaves to mourn her great loss her beloved children Alex, Yvonne Pulis, Josette Flores Martin and their families especially her adored grandchildren Michael, Mark and Daniela, her brothers and sisters and their families in Italy, other relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves St James Capua Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for St Sebastian parish church, Qormi, where mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Marija Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to the President’s Community Chest Fund will be appreciated. The family wishes to thank the staff at St James Capua Hospital and the carers, nurses and all the staff at Casa Leone XIII for their dedicated care. Dear Lord, grant her eternal rest.

VASSALLO. On January 24, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, Floriana, ANNABELLE, aged 39, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved parents Mary and Stiano, her brothers Colin and his wife Diana, and Trevor, her nephews Armin and Nick, her beloved friends Micheline Sciberras, Carmen Mangion and Carmen Bugeja, her aunts and her uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. The funeral cortege leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2.30 p.m. for Siġġiewi parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 3 p.m. followed by interment at the Siġġiewi cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Puttinu Cares will be appreciated. The family would like to sincerely thank all those who supported Annabelle over the past four years. They would also like to express their gratitude to the doctors and all the staff of Ward 4 at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital. “I shall not die I shall live to recount the great deeds of the Lord”. (Ps 118,17). The family regret that they are unable to receive any visitors. Lord, grant her eternal rest.
