A 71-year-old man was hospitalised in a serious condition on Thursday after he was hit by a car in Cospicua.

The accident happened at Triq San Ġwann T’Għuxa at 6.15am.

The car was a Kia Picanto driven by a 43-year-old woman from St Paul's Bay.

The police are investigating.
