A fire which broke out at the Zebbuġ branch of Bank of Valletta was put out by firefighters late on Saturday.

The flames developed in back offices of the branch in the town's main square at 10.10pm, police said.

Firefighters wore breathing apparatus while they tackled the fire.

No one was injured.

No foul play is suspected with the blaze believed to have been sparked by an office device.
