Worker dies from electric shock while assembling scaffolding

A man died after he suffered an electric shock while assembling scaffolding in St Julian's on Thursday.

The police said the accident happened in Manuel Dimech Street at 11.30am.

The victim, a 31-year-old Somali resident in Qormi, died in hospital soon after he was admitted.

A magisterial inquiry and an investigation by the Occupational Health and Safety Authority are underway.
