A motorcyclist died when he lost control of his motorcycle and crashed into a pole in Gozo late on Sunday.

The accident happened on Triq ir-Rabat, near Marsalforn, at 8.40pm

The victim, a 64-year-old German resident in Xagħra, died on the spot.

A magisterial inquiry is underway.
