Customers who make purchases with a BoV Cashlink Card until August 31 will trigger an automatic donation of €0.70 by Bank of Valletta in aid of The Malta Hospice Movement.
BoV's Cashlink Cards for Charity campaign 2008 was launched by Mary Fenech Adami, patron to the Malta Hospice Movement, at the Verdala Palace, Buskett. During the launch, BoV chief executive officer Tonio Depasquale explained that thousands of euros can be raised for the Movement through the campaign.
Addressing the media, Malta Hospice Movement chairman Theresa Naudi said: "Hospice works to create and deliver the highest standards of palliative care within the local community.
"A multi-professional team works hand-in-hand with a group of dedicated volunteers to enable this non-profit organisation to attend to the physical, psychological, social and spiritual needs of their patients, while extending invaluable support to their families, friends and significant others."
