A 26-year-old man from Birzebbuga was rescued by the AFM from the sea off Wied ix-Xoqqa, Kalafrana, this morning.

The man was reported in difficulties by a person who had been walking in the area. He was located by a helicopter crew who winched him on board and transferred him to Mater Dei Hospital, where he was found to be hypothermic but otherwise unhurt.
