Mike was always the cordial and nice happy member of the committee of the Golden Knight Film Festival. He was there since the early 1960S and was active all his life. His films, made in the club, won him awards in the yearly competitions.
He always invited the 50 visitors of the Golden Knight, from the UK, to his villa for a party each year. They used to come specifically for the Golden Knight Film Festival.
Mike was always an honest man when judging films and awarded points to films that really deserved them.
Throughout all the years that I knew him, he was always active, preparing the Golden Knight Festival with other members, but took a leading hand in the stage work necessary.
Also as an active member at The Manoel Theatre, with his sister, he was always forefront to have the best results in the performances.
He participated practically every year in the 1980s at the London International Film Festival and was very well known and respected. He represented Malta and this encouraged more film-makers to send in their works to the Golden Knight.
On behalf of the Golden Knight Festival committee, may I convey our condolences to Wendy, his wife, and his children.
May he rest in peace.
