Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi yesterday inaugurated a family park in Mellieħa. The project, which cost €800,000 and was co-financed by EU funds, is located close to Selmun. Thousands of trees have been planted at the park which hosts a basketball court, a volleyball court, a tennis court and a cycling track. The project was carried out by the Rural Resources Ministry and the Mellieħa council.
