A construction worker was seriously injured when he was hit by a pump used for concrete works, the police said.

The accident happened at about 11.30am in December 13 Road, Kerċem, Gozo.

The worker, a 44-year-old Albanian, was hospitalised.

Investigations are being held by the police and the Occupational Health and Safety Authority.
